2017’s Yorkshire Brass Band Championships will take place at Huddersfield Town Hall which is located in the heart of Huddersfield.

Travelling to the contest

Travel to the Yorkshire Brass Band Championships is easy by car or public transport

By car

The nearest car park is the Market Hall car park (HD1 2UJ) and is conveniently only 100m away from the Town Hall. This Multi Story car park offers over 500 spaces plus for added reassurance they provide CCTV and evening security patrols.

By Train

Huddersfield Town Hall is only ~10 minutes walk from Huddersfield Train Station which is well connected by regular services to Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield. You can plan your journey at the National Rail Enquiries Website

By Air

The most convenient airport is Manchester Airport which links directly to Huddersfield by train in 1 hour.

Staying in Huddersfield

The closest Hotel to the Huddersfield Town Hall is the Huddersfield Central Premier Inn. A range of other accommodation is available in the town and the neighbouring area including a range of Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the beautiful surrounding courtyside. Huddersfield Town Hall is accessible to Wheelchair users and dedicated seating is available in the stalls.

Lifts are only available to the stalls and the balcony level. There is no Lift access to the gallery. Please note that there are steps to all rows of seating on the balcony and gallery levels.

An induction loop and dedicated toilet and changing facilities for those with disabilities are also available within Huddersfield Town Hall. We also welcome guide dogs, please ask if you need help with your seat.
