STEVENAGE LEISURE PARK <\/span><\/strong>behind the station is for the sole purpose of users of the retail park. This should not be used as CCTV and ANPR are operated to identify people parking and leaving the site subject to a \u00a3100 fine.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nThe <\/span>STATION CAR PARK SOUTH <\/span><\/strong>is a small facility and tends to fill up very quickly.
\nThe <\/span>STATION CAR PARK NORTH <\/span><\/strong>is a much larger facility and there are generally plentiful spaces to be had. We would recommend that bands people try to use this facility. There is a lift at the station entrance from ground level to the walkway across Lytton Way which would be useful for the larger instrument bearers.
\nBoth car parks charge \u00a37.60 on a Saturday and \u00a37.20 on a Sunday<\/span><\/p>\n


\nTo the North West of the A&L Centre there is a substantial car park operated by Tesco. However it again is primarily for the use of Tesco shoppers but many use it as it is free but subject to a 3 hour maximum. Again CCTV and ANPR are in operation. This also should not be used.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nTo the south west the car parks adjacent to the Main Hall (Danesgate) and around the Magistrates Court and Matalan have all disappeared.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nIn front of the venue the <\/span>SWINGATE<\/strong> <\/span>car parks are now subject to extensive building work and although there are limited spaces there at present we cannot guarantee that further building work won’t be commenced prior to the contest.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nThe other alternatives are:
\n<\/span>WESTGATE<\/strong> <\/span>\u2013 This is central in the town accessible via Tesco and 200 yards from the venue. This may prove to be the next best alternative although it would not be accessible to vans or larger vehicles. The charges for this are on a sliding scale but the pertinent charges would be \u00a34 up to 5 hours doubling to \u00a38 over 5 hours on a Saturday. Flat rate on a Sunday is \u00a32.20
\n<\/span>FORUM<\/span><\/strong>– This is in the north east corner of the town and maybe up to 400 yards walk. The charges are the same as Westgate
\n<\/span>ST GEORGES MULTISTOREY <\/span><\/strong>\u2013 This occupies the eastern flank of the town and is a similar distance as the Forum. The charges are \u00a34 up to 5 hours but only \u00a35 thereafter. A flat rate of \u00a32.20 applies on Sundays
\n<\/span>SOUTHGATE<\/strong> <\/span>\u2013 This is in the south east corner of the town. Again, a similar distance from venue. The charges are \u00a35 for Saturday, \u00a32.20 on Sunday.
\nDirections to the venue are plentiful throughout the town so there should be no reason for bands people not to find the venue.<\/span><\/p>\n


\n<\/span>UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD CARS, VANS, COACHES OR MINIBUSES ETC TRY TO PARK OR UNLOAD IN WHAT IS LEFT OF THE SERVICE ROAD ADJACENT TO THE GYM ENTRANCE DOORS. DOING SO WOULD BLOCK FIRE EXITS AND THE FIRE BRIGADES\u2019 ONLY ACCESS POINT INTO THE CENTRE. THE CENTRE MANAGEMENT HAVE ADVISED US IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS THAT THEY WOULD CANCEL THE CONTEST IMMEDIATELY IF THIS SHOULD HAPPEN AS THEY COULD BE CLOSED DOWN BY THE RELEVANT AUTHORITIES FOR BEING IN BREACH OF FIRE REGULATIONS. THE IMPLICATIONS FOR BOTH THEM AND THE CONTEST WOULD BE DEVASTATING, SO PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL OF YOUR PEOPLE ARE AWARE OF THIS AND ENSURE THEY COMPLY!<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
